Az RNS enzimekről (ribozimokról) egyre többet tudunk. A természetben előforduló ribozimokat (HDV, kalapácsfej, hajtűkanyar, I és II csoportbeli intronok, RNáz P, VS ribozim) igen jól ismerjük, hatásmechanizmusok, másodlagos szerkezetük ismert. Egyre nagyobb számban, mesterségesen evolválódott ribozimok is léteznek, amelyek a legkülönbözőbb kémiai folyamatot képesek katalizálni.
A szakdolgozat célja - előrevetítve egy esetleges M.Sc. szakdolgozatot vagy TDK-t a RNS enzimek egy csoportjának feldolgozása. Az irodalomból ki kell keresni a ribozim másodlagos szerkezetét, az összes mutánsát, hatásmechanizmust és kinetikai paramétereit. Ezeket egy adatbázisban kéne összefoglalni.
